Each group is fully
responsible for its own first aid needs. User
groups are responsible to bring at least one adult with
current CPR and First Aid certification from a
nationally recognized certifying agency. We advise
every group to bring a first aid kit to treat minor
injuries that may occur. Additionally, all user
groups are advised to gather the names and addresses of
all participants; emergency contact names and numbers, a
list of any person's know allergies or health conditions
that may require treatment, restriction or other
accommodations while on site. and a signed permission to
seek emergency treatment. Group leadership should
keep those records on hand for the duration of the
retreat. Group leaders are expected to report any
injuries beyond scratches and minor cuts to the office
or stable area. Accident reports will be provided.
Marmon Valley Farm is in a
911 area. The local emergency squad will respond
to all call, usually in less than 10 minutes. The
closest hospital is Mary Rutan in Bellefontaine and can
be reached at 937-592-4015. We reserve the right
to turn away guests who arrive with communicable
illnesses (lice, pink eye, etc.).
Exception to First Aid
Policy: Farm staff will offer first aid and/or arrange
ambulance transportation and care for individuals who
become injured while participating in the following camp
sponsored activities: horseback riding, challenge
course, climbing wall, hayride, barn dance and lake when
our staff are life guarding. |
