Retreat Planning Guide
THE SCHEDULING PROCESS
1. Contact Marmon Valley Farm to select an available
retreat/outing date and make a tentative reservation. At
this time a contract will be sent to the group leader.
2. When you receive the
contract read it thoroughly and be sure the schedule reflects
your goals. Please sign the agreement on the back and
return a copy of the contract with your 30% deposit within two
weeks. (Be sure to retain a copy for your own records.
3. Once the deposit has
been posted you will receive a letter confirming your
reservation. The deposit is required in order to
secure your tentative reservation.
4. You are welcome to call
and schedule a visit if you would like to familiarize yourself with
the facilities and the available resources. This may be done at
any point in the process.
5. Call the Farm five
working days prior to you retreat and update your expected
number of guests. (The Monday prior to the weekend of your
event is the latest this may be done.) The number of
guests declared at this point will become your guaranteed
minimum number of guests for our billing purposes, regardless of
how many actually attend.
6. When you arrive, stop
in at the Welcome Center and check in. You will receive
your weekend itinerary and other pertinent information at this
time. Be prepared to settle your account balance, too.
In most cases an orientation and welcome for the whole group
will take place upon your arrival.
