Site Usage Information

 Welcome to Marmon Valley Farm. We hope that your time spent here will be a safe and memorable experience for your group.  Please take a moment to read through the following information. It will familiarize you with our facilities and give you guidelines to ensure that your group stays safe, and is aware of our camp rules.  If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to speak with us about them. If there is no one in the office, a staff member can usually be found in charge of the Stables.  Thank you.

 General Camp Rules….

1. Please be considerate of other groups using the farm during your stay.

2. Adult supervision of youth is required at all times.  We recommend at least 1 to 10 adult to child ratio.

3. Camp quiet hours are from 10:30pm - 6:30am. Groups should respect others and keep noise to an absolute minimum during these hours

4. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the grounds.

5. Respect others’ property including the camps.  Property defacing or destruction will result in an additional charge to cover damages. You are responsible for the conduct of your group!

6. Marmon Valley Farm reserves the right to dismiss guests who do not abide by the rules of the camp.

7. Please do not ride in the back of pickup trucks while on the farm.

General Information and Recommendations…

 First Aid

Marmon Valley Farm and the American Camping Association strongly recommend user groups bring at least one adult with current CPR and First Aid certifications (from a nationally recognized certifying agency).  Remember your group is fully responsible for its own first aid needs.

 Parking

All vehicles should be parked in the parking lot. If there is a need to unload a large amount of cargo, you may drive your vehicle to your site to unload but it must be parked in the lot immediately upon unloading. Disabled and elderly guests may park at a more convenient location provided that traffic flow is not interrupted.

 Fire Rings

     Fire rings are provided throughout the grounds on a first come first served basis. A limited amount of wood is provided free of      
     charge.  All fires must be in an established fire ring and Bon fires are not allowed.

 The Picnic Shelter

     The Picnic Shelter is provided for guest group usage. Please check to see if it has been reserved for another group before you 
     set up. If you wish to reserve the picnic shelter please contact the office. A usage fee applies.

 Hayrides

 Generally meet at the Activity Barn

 Barn Dances

Take place upstairs in the Activity Barn

Challenge Course

The Challenge Course is only available to scheduled groups. Meet your facilitator at the Activity Barn and hike to the course as a group.  Trails may be muddy.

 Horseback Riding

Please check in at the stables 10 minutes before your scheduled riding time. Suggested attire for horseback riding is long pants and riding shoes or cowboy boots.  All riders are required to fill in an activity waiver release form before riding.  This form requires the written consent of the parent or guardian of each child participating. Helmets are available at no charge.

 The Lake

 All aquatic activity is prohibited unless a CURRENTLY CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD is on duty.  Adult Supervision is required for all children participating in aquatic activity.  Lifejackets MUST be worn when boating. 

 The Play Barn

The play barn is primarily for younger children. Supervision is necessary. Please do not let children throw rocks or climb on the outside of the barn. The play barn is off limits after dark.

 Animals and the Big Red Barn

You are welcome to visit the animals around the Farm.  Several animals live in and around the Big Red Barn; please do not enter the pens with any of the animals.  Rabbits may be taken out of their cages to be petted – please make sure they are put back in the correct cage.  Animals may be fed grass or the feed provided in feed machines.  Please do not chase any of the animals, or use them to scare others.   

Hiking Trails

Groups may choose to hike around the 200 plus acres of Marmon Valley Farm.  Adult supervision is required for all hiking.  Please quietly yield to trail rides and allow them to pass.  Stop by the stables for information about good hiking trails.  Conditions may be muddy. 

Other facilities on the grounds

Tetherball, volleyball, catch and release fishing, stilts, tire swing, play yards. 

Overnight Check–In/Check-Out

Cabins will be ready for moving in at 1:00 PM.  All gear must be out of cabins by 10:00AM on your departure day.

Facilities that are off limits

Please stay out of the buildings around the campground. The Hayloft in the Big Red Barn is only available if there is not a group lodging there. Adult supervision is required to play in the hayloft.
